Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as Site Supervisor of Youth Academy credit and non-credit programs at one or more sites, used by the College for the conduct of instruction. This position supports the Youth Academy credit and non-credit enrollment of the College by providing instructional opportunities in district neighborhoods, convenient to district residents.
Duties:
1. Coordinate the Continuing Education to plan and schedule usage of youth programs
2. Supervises teaching staff to ensure teachers arrive on time and prepared for coursework. Identifies substitute teachers or cover the courses when needed.
3. Handles student disciplinary issues and contacts appropriate law enforcement personnel to take action in response to illegal behavior. Communicates with appropriate college and/or partner representatives
4. Assigns classrooms, labs, and other instructional areas to specific courses based on needs. Communicates to supervisor, faculty, students and parents on room assignments
5. Assists in the distribution and resolution of logistical issues. Distributes appropriate materials, including books, tests, instructional supplies to faculty in support of programs
6. Responsible for sign-in and sign-out procedures with minors and guardians. Oversight of minors while on campus property
7. Supports agreed upon accommodations for students with disabilities in courses on site, including additional time or reading aloud
8. Manages emergency precautions and emergencies, including certain medical needs, evacuation procedures, or weather related issues
9. Ensures building is opened in accordance with local security code requirements and that classrooms are unlocked and fully ready for use by instructors and students before the scheduled start of classes
10. Ensures classrooms are left in an orderly condition, locked and the facility is secured prior to departing facility. Notify facility manager in a timely manner of any discrepancies
11. Ensures building is secured in accordance with local security code requirements
12. Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:

• Education Required: HS Diploma. Preferred: Associates Degree
• Experience Required: Previous youth programs experience for one (1) summer in an educational setting. Preferred: Two (2) or more summer experiences in an educational setting.
