Homes for Independent Living (HIL) is an employee-owned company that operates more than 100 programs located in more than 14 Wisconsin counties! We are an industry leader in providing residential and community-based services for individuals with a wide array of disabilities. We provide specialized support to people with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, mental illness, and people requiring services to support challenging behaviors.

As a Recruiting Team Leader (Senior Recruiter) at Homes for Independent Living, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a small team of recruiters through full life-cycle recruiting. We will rely on you to develop sourcing strategies, interview and identify top candidates, manage the hiring process, initiate the on-boarding process and use analytical data to drive change. This position will be based in our southern regions with travel to multiple locations as needed. There is also Hybrid availablitiy once training is complete.

Responsibilities

Leader Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead, inspire a talent acquisition function focused on candidate experience, excellence in service, and finding top talent
  • Offer coaching, insight, and decision support to talent sourcing team
  • Serve as the regional recruiting leader and partner to business leaders to inform of talent issues, and propose creative ideas for identifying and attracting top talent

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects that will impact hiring across all areas of the business
  • Partner with business leaders on sourcing, hiring, and workforce planning strategies,
  • Execution of talent acquisition strategies for inclusive and diverse recruitment, talent forecasting and pipelining
  • Support full-cycle selection process for new facilities as assigned.
  • Drive interview and selection process while maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers
  • Generate a high volume and high-quality pipeline of candidates through advanced recruitment, community outreach and various other sourcing techniques

Qualifications

  • College degree required. At least 3 years of previous recruitment experience, preferably in a high volume or health services field.
  • Effective problem solver who demonstrates flexibility, autonomy, responsiveness, and a high level of initiative. Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and with little direction. 
  • Previous leadership/management of Recruiters.
  • Requires effective verbal and written communication.
  • Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license throughout employment and maintains insurance on personal vehicle. Driving record must align with company insurability guidelines. Must be willing to travel to different work locations, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with prior work experience in using software and vendor programs to develop reports, prepare documents, etc.
  • Maintains self-composure and self-control under stressful conditions.
  • Must be willing to work fluctuating and flexible hours as dictated by business needs, including possible evening or weekend work.
