HIL is looking for reliable Scheduler to join our growing team. We will rely on this Scheduler position to adequately staff programs with qualified staff, coordinate and communicate caregiver staff schedules, and complete a variety of administrative functions related to staffing hours and timekeeping. The ideal candidate will be professional, level-headed, experienced in maintaining confidentiality, and provides exceptional customer service.

Hours: Primarily 1st shift however need to have night and weekend flexability should scheduling changes be needed.

Status: Temporary- Fulltime- This is a new temporary position through the start of 2023 with the opprotunity for a permanent placement after.

Responsibilities

Primary duties of the Scheduler include:

  • Creates and maintain caregiver staff work schedules. Properly staffs each location with qualified employees per program specific budgets, scheduling needs, and in accordance with regulatory and/or contractual requirements.
  • Effectively schedules staff in a manner that maximizes employee utilization and minimizes overtime. Schedules according to required program/shift qualifications such as: drive status, QRCS status, training status, experience with specific client group, or needs of the program, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with operations management to resolve schedule shortfalls as the result of call-ins or emergency situations.
  • Accurately edits time cards and assists with timekeeping approval. Provides timekeeping related training and support to staff.
  • Tracks staff attendance and assists with proper administration of Attendance Policy/Procedure.
  • Evaluates program schedules and makes recommendations to streamline schedules and create efficiencies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of scheduling related work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and exercise good judgement
  • Exceptional communication and problem solving skills
  • Remains calm under pressure and maintains compusre in times of high stress
  • Possess Valid Wisconsin Class D driver's license for 3 years with an acceptable driving record per HIL's policy
  • Access to an insured vehicle
  • Ability to maintain self-composure and self-control under stressful conditions.
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Experience in the human services or healthcare field preferred
