Home Run Inn, Inc. is Hiring a Training Specialist Near Chicago, IL

Description

Home Run Inn is a family owned & operated establishment with 11 locations in the manufacturing, distribution, restaurant, and real estate industries. The Primary Purpose: To design, develop, deliver, and oversee existing and future learning and development, hospitality and safety programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate in-person and online training for Home Run Inn employees
  • Develop training content for identified business needs
  • Maintain training records
  • Manage LMS system and Tools
  • Identify training needs and determine priorities to meet short-term and long-term objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of trends in training and development
  • Ensure new teammates receive proper training
  • Identify committed actions, and follow up on all deliverables
  • Conduct assessments to identify skills, knowledge and productivity required for training certification Evaluate training programs and training tools
  • Build strong business relationships with the teammates and managers
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned

Education, Experience, and/or Certification

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred
  • 2 years of manufacturing or restaurant experience preferred
  • 2 years of training experience required
  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use all Microsoft office programs
  • Previous experience working with and developing and LMS
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • Osha Certification is a plus
  • Must have strong communication and presentation skills and have an ability to effectively present information
  • Must have an ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form to all levels of the organization
  • Displays courtesy, tact and respect when dealing with others

  • Learner’s mindset with a passion for coaching and developing people
  • General understanding of learning concepts, training and development methods and techniques
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, give and receive appropriate commitments and take initiative
  • Must be able to work with all learning levels and adapt pace of learning to meet students’ needs
  • Must be fully knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices
  • May need to hold and maintain certifications necessary to conduct training (ex. Forklift)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be an influential leader and have the ability to work well with all departments/shifts
  • Must be able to modify working schedule as needed to maximize training efficiencies
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintains a strong attention to detail
