The team at Holvik Family Health Center includes Dr. William Holvik, experienced Family Nurse Practitioners, and his staff, who all follow two valued principles:

Since welcoming their first patient in January 2000, the team at Holvik Family Health Center has continuously provided a full range of family practice services. Their patients depend on the practice for sick visits and routine wellness exams for newborns, children, and adults. They also provide specialty services such as women’s health, sports medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, fracture care, vasectomy, and travel medicine.
Dr. Holvik offers comprehensive dermatology care. While this includes the diagnosis and treatment of routine skin rashes and skin cancer examination, Holvik Family Health Center takes care of aesthetic needs with noninvasive body contouring and permanent fat removal using SculpSure® advanced laser technology.

Job Summary: The Family Practice Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan in a family practice setting. They will work collaboratively with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants, Medical Scribes, and other healthcare professionals to promote patient health and wellness.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests
· Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries
· Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate.
· Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
· Develop and implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
· Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care management
· Collaborate with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
· Document patient care in medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient privacy laws
· Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
· Assist with other duties as assigned by the Physician or Office manager
Qualifications:
· Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program
· Unencumbered California licensure as a nurse practitioner
· National certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) or adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner (AGPCNP)
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in a family practice setting preferred
· Strong clinical knowledge and skills in primary care, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Proficiency in medical record keeping and documentation.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
· Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
· Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach overhead
Working Conditions:
· Work is performed in a medical office setting
· May be exposed to infectious diseases and hazardous materials
· Full time employment currently Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 hour work week).
· Future schedule could shift to Monday through Thursdays with 9 hour days and 4 hours on Fridays (40 hour work week).
