Position Summary

Food Distributor in Eastern Maryland is searching for a motivated individual to manage our night outbound freight operations. Typical hours are from 4pm - 2am. Hours can vary with the season and typical average work hours are 40-50 hours a week. Experience managing the loading and selection of outbound freight is a must.

Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage order selectors, loaders, and replenishment personnel.
• Manage shipping and loading procedures including HAACP.
• Maintain associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meeting
• Consult with other managers to help processes and assets are being used to the best of their abilities.
• Performs management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations
• Work non traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Skills and Knowledge

An applicable Manager should posses the following:

• Work experience operating ride on electric pallet jacks, stand up reach forklifts and order pickers
• Knowledge of spreadsheet software and Word Processing software to insure weekly reports are accurately updated and kept on file
• Exhibits a positive attitude with all associates to increase moral
• Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures
