Overview

The Logistics Coordinator muat effectively and efficiently manage all aspects relative to the back-office needs of the road transportation. They will manage the contracts ensuring that they are signed and up to date, ensure that all carriers are being paid per contract terms handling all exception billing (accessorial), and monitor the safety/Avetta to ensure that Holcim carriers are meeting the contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review detention and accessorial invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Integrate invoices into SAP for tracking purposes
• Determine if invoices need to be billed to customers and code them accordingly
• Process invoices for payment using SAP by selecting the appropriate Purchase Orders (POs) and the correct accounts to use
• Update the Carrier Portal website once the status of the carrier’s submission is determined
• Manage POs by working with the Procurement team to ensure the necessary POs are created and maintained
• Actively reach out to carrier contacts when issues with invoices arise
• Create a culture of safety across all truck transportation responsibilities that influence the actions and behavior of every employee and contractor to keep them safe from the time they depart for work until they return home.
• Work with the Logistics Manager and Logistics Manager Support to make safety a priority for each carrier, driver, and Order Desk team.
• Ensure that the Holcim 5 rules of safety become a standard for all carriers, drivers, and Order Desk teams.
• New vendor setup - ensuring carrier meets our requirements and set them up in SAP and Carrier Portal.
• Maintain carrier database.
• Monitoring all contracts to ensure they are current and signed (over 200 contracts).
• Monitor unbilled reports to ensure that carriers are being paid on time, follow up as necessary.
• Ad hoc reporting. 
• Build and maintain rate guides for Logistics Managers and Order Desk to guide negotiations and billing for customers.
• Assist with managing email submissions externally and internally. 
• Implement process improvement to streamline road transportation operations.
• Assist in defining metrics, creating and running reports 
• Create PO requisitions and complete service entries for all accessorial charges tied to road transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in General Business, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management
• 1-3 years’ experience
• Ability to travel up to 5%
