Overview

LafargeHolcim/Aggregate Industries, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for Heavy Equipment Operators. Operators may be responsible for running dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and/or asphalt materials. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for conducting routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times.
  • Loads trucks, feeds bins with various aggregate materials, maintains proper quantities of material to be loaded, moves earth or material from one location to another, and performs paving/grading work.
  • Keeps equipment clean and orderly.
  • Performs daily inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Responsible for tasks that require the use of heavy mobile equipment. The associated equipment of the plant/quarry/mine are also considered equipment to be operated by Heavy Equipment Operators.

Qualifications

  • This position will interact with production and maintenance personnel to reduce and eliminate production interruptions.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and write. Excellent driving skills
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Previous mining experience, and experience operating heavy equipment, loaders, backhoe 
  • Welding, cutting, and plant maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills required (English)
  • Haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment operators
