Overview

Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; performing repairs when needed.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components.
• Service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment.
• Provide routine inspections of vehicles
• Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
• Maintain and clean all garage equipment and tools to ensure equipment is kept in useable condition at all times.

Qualifications

SKILLS 

• Knowledge of vehicle electrical system and the mechanisms of a diesel engine.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms.
• Knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment.
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Effective collaboration and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Diesel Mechanic Certification
• Required to travel to job sites where needed
• Provide routine inspections of vehicles
• Must wear protective devices as required by the company safety policy.
• Work nights and extended hours when required
• Valid driver’s license
• Always represent the company in a professional manner.
