Overview

About the role:

Responsible for the review and processing of customer credit requests for an assigned customer portfolio. Engages in aggressive collection programs while maintaining positive customer relations. Responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information on new and existing customers to maximize sales and to limit the risk of bad debt loss.

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing...

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all workenvironments and areas.
  • Ensure document compliance on construction pay applications to minimize delay in payment.
  • Monitor compliance with state lien and bond statutes.
  • Responsible for the review and process of customer requests for credit.
  • Engages in vigorous aggressive collection activities with customers through constant communication viatelephone, email, fax or written correspondence.
  • Generates collections aging reports to analyze and determine which accounts to aggressively pursuecollection activities.
  • Prepares accurate credit related reports for management.
  • Conducts analysis of customer financial information and credit history to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
  • Performs industry research and ratios; compares measures such as liquidity, profitability, credit history and cash with other companies of the same industry, size and geographic location; analyzes factors such as income growth, quality of management, market share, potential risks of industry and collateralappraisal.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

We're Looking For...

Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree preferred or a minimum of 3 years of relevant credit and collections experienceField of Study Preferred: business, accounting or finance or equivalent experience.Required Work Experience: 3-5 yearsRequired Training/Certifications: Association of Credit and Collections Professionals Training/Courses preferred.Required Computer and Software Skills: Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsTravel Requirements: Occasional travel to other company sites.
