Description
We are currently looking for a Investment Banking Analyst, the position will allow the opportunity for career growth over time. The role will provide extensive support and assist in providing investment banking advice to clients. The candidate will be an integral part of the team.
Our public finance group provides underwriting and financial advisory services to state & local governments and not-for-profit entities. Supported by a broad national platform, our expert teams leverage localized knowledge to facilitate the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt debt across a range of sectors including state & local government, charter schools, cultural & social service nonprofits, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, project finance, K-12 school districts, senior living and special district group.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.
Requirements
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
· Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
· Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
· Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management
Qualifications and Skills:
· Location in Dallas TX, Rockville MD, Richmond VA, Washington, Connecticut preferred
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
· 3 years' financial analysis and modeling experience(SIE, S52, 63, 79 preferred)
· Acquisition of the above licenses required within 6 months of hire
· Advanced knowledge of Excel
