Lead Product Designer

Remote

HireRight is seeking a Lead Product Designer to interpret customer needs and turn those needs into thoughtful designs for our Backgroundchecks.com platform. Product Designers at HireRight are creative user advocates who effectively articulate their ideas and insights when collaborating with product managers, marketers, and developers to continually innovate at various stages of product development. This role is responsible for the entire user experience lifecycle including, research, concept ideation and prototyping, creating detailed user experience design solutions, validation research, and analytics review, and providing cohesiveness that drives revenue.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience working in a startup, e-commerce, or consumer-based company
• Deep knowledge of e-commerce acquisition funnels and retention-centric consumer product design
• Experience leading product design within a cross-functional team
• Strong visual and interaction design
• Proven experience designing mobile-first experiences, landing pages, acquisition sites, direct-to-consumer digital product experiences
• A clear understanding of usability, user-centered design, accessibility, and web standards
• Successful management of stakeholders
• Highly proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Illustrator, Principle and Lottie
• A portfolio which demonstrates expertise with mobile design, ecommerce, and problem-solving in the various phases of user-centered design
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Degree in Design-related field

Responsibilities

• Apply modern design principles and user-centered design methodologies to create a great responsive web experience for our customers and applicants who use backgroundchecks.com to complete the background report screening process
• Define, create, and communicate the experience direction using appropriate tools to describe intent. This includes: sketches, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and animations
• Lead every stage of product design life cycle, including research, ideation, low fidelity design iteration, high fidelity design iteration, animation, and export assets that can be utilized by developers throughout development cycles
• Work with UX researchers, content designers, product managers, marketers, business managers, and developers to define and deliver features
• Collaboratively plan and execute research activities with the UX Research team
• Create effective and thoughtful product solutions by considering quantitative and qualitative data; site analytics, customer feedback, and research findings
• Design solutions that drive revenue and improve retention
• Bring inspiring and creative ideas into an energetic and collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
• Provide mentorship for more junior product designers
