Overview

SUMMARY

You will evaluate present and future technology needs for the Road North America (NAM) business. With your clear communication skills, you will consult with key stakeholders and IT staff to enhance understanding of the current IT landscape. You will assist in creating a vision and road map for the future IT landscape. A candidate in this role should be very comfortable with software design and development and will possess solid communication and documentation skills.

KEY SKILLS:

• Prepare IT solution designs in accordance with company standards.
• Present business area solution to the Solutions Design Forum.
• Contribute to maintaining the IT roadmap.
• Travel to business units to facilitate evaluations.
• Develop IT Solution Architecture
• Engage with European colleagues on future developments and platforms.
• Accountable for the design of the future platform.
• Support development team efforts on new projects.

EXPERIENCE:

• Applicants must have 2 or more years of experience as a Solutions Architect or Lead Developer.
• A computer science related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Effective communication skills
• One or more years of software development experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills
• An understanding of software development life cycles.
• Experience collaborating with IT and business on projects.
