Position Purpose:

Team leader to a group of inside sales estimators, inside sales representatives, project managers and order entry specialists that work as a team to help drive growth and provide support to our channel partners within the assigned region.

Position Summary:

Works with outside sales within an assigned region to drive target project bids, and track the team’s workload to ensure timeliness on all aspects of the “quote to cash” process. Tracks and expedites all milestone deadlines required for project success and on-time delivery. Manages team conflict and works effectively to add continuous improvement to all aspects of the quotation and order entry process. Measures, tracks and reports quote and order entry activity daily. Creates sound, established processes and procedures to assure outstanding communication between internal groups, and between company, channel partners and clients. Coordinates communication and order execution across McWane divisions and facilities needed to meet customer and deadline demands.

Essential Functions:

• Can assist and help mentor team members related to:
  • RFQ approval processes with sales team.
  • Order in-take including credit, T&C review and order entry.
  • General order management of orders from entry to release manufacturing and communication with involved parties.
  • Post order communication and scheduling with sister companies.
• Review orders entered for accuracy.
• Track error rates, drive for root cause and implement/change process to address.
• Provides support to Director, Customer Experience in reporting, KPI measurement, and tracking.

Other job functions:

• Trains internal and external partners on quotation process flow and order management. 
• Tracking large projects and handling workloads.
• Develop communication with compliance (legal) on certification letters. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum 3 years leading a customer support team, or related experience within the water/wastewater industry.
• High level of outgoing interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and drive change.
• Knowledge of manufacturer/distributor/contractor supply chain process. Familiarity with channels using commissioned manufacturer sales representatives.
• Demonstrated leadership.
• Strong communication, organization, & people skills.
• Leads and thrives in a team atmosphere. Ability to communicate and build rapport with remote organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business, engineering, or communications-related field.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Detail oriented, adept at reading documents and engineering drawing.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior inside sales management experience.
• Mechanical aptitude or engineering background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365
