Responsibilities

As an Events Coordinator with Hines, you will assist in developing and successfully executing support all Atlantic Station’s Marketing and Specialty Leasing events and activities that drive attendance and sales to Atlantic Station. These responsibilities include assisting with developing, planning, and executing of all marketing events and promotions as well as assisting with the execution of specialty leasing events. The position is also responsible for ensuring that all stated goals are executed in a manner commensurate with a first-class mixed-use asset and that guest satisfaction is maintained at the highest level. This position doesn’t have any direct reports. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assist in the developing, planning and managing of annual events calendar focused on consumer audiences including ideation and event logistics with marketing team
  • Provide day-to-day production of events, including invoicing, contracts, pricing negotiations, and timelines from conception to completion
  • Manage marketing events and assist with management and implementation of specialty leasing events after License Agreement is fully executed by coordinating logistics calls with licensees, creating, and distributing event notifications and managing in person (as needed) for all SL events. Work with and communicate regularly with Marketing Director on coordination efforts.
  • Assist in sales conversations and site visits with potential third party event producers when appropriate
  • Manage supplies and shipping coordination of supplies for all events.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director on pre-event, at-event, and post-event strategy to increase attendance.
  • Ensure accuracy and that deadlines are met for all event related activities, logistics, purchases, promotions, and deliverables
  • Assist with creating and implementing event strategies and build everlasting relationships across the event industry with current and future clients and vendors
  • Stay up to date on industry trends
  • Assist with the planning and execution of audio/visual tools for Atlantic Station events
  • Assist with managing digital asset management software (photo and video)
  • Assist with photo shoots and video production
  • Work with accounting and property management to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards and guidelines
  • Responsible for brand awareness
  • Participate in rotation of Manager on Duty program
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Work weekends and evenings for events

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, hospitality or related field of study from accredited institution
  • Five or more years of experience in marketing, event planning, PR, and/or social media
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Proficiency with forms of digital communication

  • Above-average ability to organize, manage time and understand and set priorities, while maintaining deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal analytical, organizational and time management skills with consistent attention to detail and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels

  • Enthusiastic personality that enjoys collaborating with others

  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic-thinking, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

  • High energy, versatile and self-directed

  • Creative thinker who enjoys trying innovative ideas

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality

  • Strong communications skills - verbal, written, and public presentation - are essential

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization

  • Resourceful team player whose integrity will build strong and trusting relationships with tenants and teammates

  • Able to multi-task and work well under pressure

  • Work indoors approximately 60% of the time and outdoors 40% of the time

  • Work weekends and evenings for events

  • Ability to stand and walk up to several hours per day including climbing stairs

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs

  • Though occurrences are rare, be accessible up to 24 hours a day in case of an emergency to monitor social media

  • Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate
