Responsibilities

As Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily with Modern Constructors (an affiliate of Hines), you will assist the Superintendent and be responsible for coordinating field personnel, subcontractors and vendors in conjunction with the Construction Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor and maintain project schedule activities assigned by the Superintendent
• Assist team in oversight of all jobsite activities
• Monitor construction progress and compliance with plans and specifications
• Resolve actual and potential cost problems with Subcontractors
• Work with Project Superintendent to price out change orders

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a concentration in Building Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred
• One or more years of work experience as an Assistant Superintendent in multifamily construction preferred
• Experience with garden and mid-rise residential construction projects is a plus
• Experience with Procore project management software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel is preferred
