SUMMARY:Oversees the operations of the spa and fitness center. Implement processes to support the vision, increase revenue and enhance customer service in all areas of Hotel Del Coronado Spa.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure that the facility is clean and in working order.
- Conduct daily walk through of the club operation to ensure cleanliness, maintenance
of facility and maintenance of equipment.
- To practice due diligence with the profit/loss of each of the revenue generating area
managed.
- To maintain control of expenses (i.e. Payroll, supplies, etc).
- Responsible for purchasing all necessary supplies for day to day operations in addition to retail items
- Maintains accurate weekly and monthly inventory in the spa
- Determine weekly schedules based on occupancy of the hotel and performance of associates
- Supervision of attendance, time-clock procedures and disciplinary action as necessary.
- To maximize revenue by monitoring daily revenue and managers reports to keep within budgetary projections.
- Assist accounting with resolution of monthly membership and guest billing concerns.
- Ensure all certificates, licenses and accreditation's that are required are current .
- Conduct departmental meetings regularly as needed. Minutes to be published from each
meeting within one week after the meeting indicating action items.
- Oversee entire Spa staff and fitness operation.
- To be highly visible and address member and guest concerns professionally and in a timely
manner.
- Ensure revenue generation and expense control in club to fulfill company expectations as stated in the annual profit plan.
- Maintain effective relations with all resort departments.
- Develop and update department rules, regulations and policies.
18. Responsible for interviewing process and hiring of job applicants. Train staff in proper
performance of their respective duties; provide continual feedback regarding job
performance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the spa complex. Carries out directional responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and addressing opportunities.
