What will I be doing:As a Complex Sales Manager, you will represent the Resorts of the Mexican Pacific in the development of market segment(s) and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts and consistently seeking to improve revenue in rooms, public space, food and beverage, and ancillary products and services!

  • Represent hotel by soliciting, responding to, and negotiating with persons requiring small group accommodations (generally between 10-35 guest rooms per night) with or without meeting space and/or on-site (resort) catering, based upon market segment and account files assigned by the Complex Director of Group Sales.
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies.
  • Develop and quote prices for same.
  • Engage in outside sales activities to talk about business opportunities and entertain customers in local and assigned markets.
  • Direct site visits for respective accounts, attend industry and customer events.
  • Attend weekly sales departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations.
  • Conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space, and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities.

Requirements

What are we looking for:We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends, and economic factors.
  • Extensive skill in the development and delivery of sales presentations.
  • Ability to access understand and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of hotel or hospitality experience
  • Incentive market experience
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications preferred
  • Three (3) years of upscale/luxury market experience
