What will I be doing?Senior Data Analysts operate at the intersection of data, processes, and technology that support payroll, in order to mitigate risk, reduce defects, improve efficiency, and support the effectiveness of the payroll compliance portfolio. Senior Data Analysts leverage their technical and business understanding of data in the context of business rules, and usage across the organization and by third parties for audit and regulatory reporting purposes!

More specifically, you will:

• Support efforts to identify potential areas of payroll compliance vulnerability and risk; recommend tools and solutions to improve and promote compliance with Hilton policies, regulatory laws, and collective bargaining agreements
• Work with business partners to capture and understand functional requirements and develop sophisticated queries and provide reports accordingly
• Translate changes into business requirements to be used by the technology support team to assure the payroll system is updated accordingly; may write documents such as functional requirements and user test plans, as well as provide support during development and deployment
• Support the execution and completion of action items identified to mitigate or remediate risks
• Support efforts of reviewing organization and department policies, and continually survey the organization landscape to make suggestions on how these policies should be applied to maintain compliance
• Provide audit support which may include creating ad-hoc reports
• Partner with leadership and the broader payroll team to implement process improvement efforts
• Recommend and advise on improvements to Hilton’s Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll platform that will deliver process optimization and reduce manual efforts

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

• Four (4) years working in human resources, payroll, tax, finance, or accounting, with an emphasis on compliance, auditing, regulatory compliance, and reporting
• Three (3) years experience in business/data analytics including requirements gathering, documenting processes, handling large amounts of data, and developing audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms
• Experience with Oracle Cloud reporting in OTBI and Oracle cloud application experience within Global HCM, payroll preferred
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, Conditional Formatting)

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• FPC or CPP certification
• Advanced Excel for data analysis including VBA (Excel Macro maintenance), Power Query & Power BI
