Hampton Inn & Suites Country Club Plaza is Hiring a Manager-Housekeeping Near Kansas, MO

The Hampton Inn & Suites Kansas City Country Club Plaza is accepting resumes for a Housekeeping Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in housekeeping management in a hotel setting, the ability to be hands-on to meet the daily goals of the hotel, and ensure the Housekeeping Team is given the proper tools and training to provide a superior product.

Essential functions:

  • Oversight of department to include all Housekeeping positions
  • Coordinating training of all positions as new team members are brought aboard, and complete re-training of existing team members as needed
  • Ensure department is delivering cleanliness and quality daily while meeting brand and hotel standards
  • Complete daily inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-the-house areas
  • Work with Human Resources in regards to all HR matters including recruitment, hiring, training, retention, disciplinary actions, terminations
  • Monitor labor to promote productivity and efficiency
  • Conduct department meetings and attend Management meetings
  • Instill an attitude in all Housekeeping employees that they are pro-actively responsible for correcting any cleanliness problems they find
  • Be responsible for ensuring proper storage, usage and disposal of all chemical agents and supplies of the department
  • Promote the hotel’s policies on safety and security to all employees, practice key control
  • Complete opening and/or closing of department, daily room inspections, room cleaning based on demand and staffing
  • Work closely with maintenance to ensure the problems found in the rooms are reported promptly, and with Front Desk with daily needs and guest expectations
  • Develop, foster vendor relations with supplier representatives
  • Handle guest complaints and requests efficiently to ensure the highest guest satisfaction
  • Inventory, control, and supply ordering
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience in hotel housekeeping management preferred
  • Hilton and/or Hampton experience preferred, but not required
  • Have a positive attitude, be approachable, and a leader and resource for our existing and future awesome Housekeeping team members
  • Eye for detail and strong organizational skills
