The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for leading and managing the restaurant. They organize daily restaurant operations, while providing a high quality experience to customers. Areas of operation range from personnel management to scheduling to inventory management and cost control.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations including food, beverages, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety
- Strong understanding of cost and labor systems that lead to restaurant profitability
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
- Ability to lead a team
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and available for all shifts.
Education and Experience Requirements
- 5 years experience as a restaurant general manager
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Associates or bachelors degree in business management or hospitality preferred
