Hillsdale College is Hiring a Customer Service Agent - Part-Time Near Hillsdale, MI

Overview

Handles customer service calls and email as well as assist in day-to-day contact center administration.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phones and assists callers on the 7 main College inbound phone lines.
  • Willingness to develop mastery of Hillsdale College institutional knowledge.
  • Provide general customer service while using excellent phone etiquette.
  • Fulfills customer service agent rolls within Contact Center and is cross trained in
  • Answering online support, online courses, Imprimis, and donor services email
  • Gift Receipts
  • Sorting and opening mail

    Qualifications

    Individuals must possess such knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using an equivalent combination of skills and abilities.

    Education and Experience

    This position requires a high school education and one year of experience in an office setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to perform the job.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to read, write, hear, speak, see and communicate effectively. Ability to operate basic office equipment to include, photocopier, fax machine, adding machine, computer equipment, DVD player, display monitors and the like. Position is largely sedentary. Occasional lifting of office supplies, booklets, etc. is necessary.

  • Knowledge of office procedures.

  • Ability to perform primary responsibilities with a minimum of supervision.
  • Personal Characteristics

    The Contact Center interacts with College staff, prospective students, parents, and friends. The ability to present a positive image of the College in contact with students and campus visitors is essential. A clean and neat appearance and a pleasant relationship that is supportive of the College mission are essential.
