The Rehab Cottage at Hillcrest Country Estates is seeking an experienced Director of Rehab for our 22-private suite Post-Acute Rehab Cottage. Designed for a home-like experience with private rooms, family-style dining, a cybercafé, in-suite medication cabinets, and a state-of-the-art therapy gym, the Rehab Cottage is a 22-bed post-acute facility focused exclusively on short term rehabilitation. This position is full-time. The ideal candidate will have be an occupation or physical therapist. We do have flexible part-time and PRN opportunities throughout Hillcrest as well. The Director of Rehab enhances the lives of individuals by directing, coordinating and supervising the activities of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, including occupational, physical and speech therapy. Responsibilities: Monitors facility’s caseload and staffing needs on daily basis working closely with other facility directors in staffing coordination to meet patient needs within budgetary constraints. Assures quality of therapy services and adequacy of therapy documentation by chart review, observation and auditing; establishes performance improvement plans (includes documentation compliance and environmental compliance) when indicated. Manages and oversees the PPS process as related to therapy services ensuring appropriate therapy RUG projections and meeting those projections by effective communication with MDS coordinator and therapy team members of facility. Ensures monthly fiscal accountability and prepares monthly reports. Assists in annual fiscal planning. Implements therapy and team member programs as directed. Participates in therapy program development and represents facility as needed on therapy task forces. Ensures the safety, operability and adequacy of facilities, equipment, supplies, and ancillary services (wellness or restorative) for therapy services. Key Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Physical or Occupation therapy program required. Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, and/or similar field preferred.At least three years’ experience working in an acute, post-acute, and/or long-term skilled setting as a therapist required.Experience managing operations in an acute, post-acute and/or skilled setting preferred.
