Your Responsibilities
As a School-Based Therapist, you will provide therapy to children, age (5-17), within the school setting to promote optimum brain health, as well as improve social and educational functioning. As a counselor you will utilize your unique skills and Evidence Based and/or Evidence Researched treatment modalities to meet the needs of the student that was referred for services. About the Program
The School-Based Youth Services Program provides brain health services directly to students within the school setting during regular school hours. Students are referred by school counselors. School based social emotional behavior counselors work in collaboration with school faculty, as well as parents or guardians to coordinate care and treatment of the student. Services are provided throughout multiple schools within the Dubuque Community School District. These services include:
