Integro Asset Management is a management company that specializes in the areas of skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care in senior living communities located in various states located across the US. We are looking for an experienced Construction Director to serves as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team overseeing all maintenance related activities across the health care setting. This will be a remote position that will require frequent travel.

The Director of Construction will be responsible for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of construction and maintenance projects. This self-starter will have a sense of urgency, a strong work ethic, high energy and integrity and be able to accurately develop and complete tasks in an efficient, ethical and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages new construction and remodeling projects
  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously
  • Works cohesively across functional teams and with community leadership
  • Manage all aspects of projects including:
    • Ensure scope and plans are adhered to;
    • Maintain and meet schedules;
    • Monitor progress and costs;
    • Review and approve change orders;
    • Meet timelines on or before deadlines;
    • Obtain insurance certificates and lien releases;
  • Provides timely and accurate updates to the leadership regarding project status, budget and schedule
  • Represents Company to external constituencies, including architects, engineers, constructors, regulatory agencies, etc. on a variety of issues related to project development and delivery and develops excellent vendor relations based on reasonable expectations, consistency in project execution, fairness, prompt payment, and enjoyable working relationships.
  • Represents Company in meetings with code officials, inspectors, bank examiners, etc.
  • Managing and coordinating the work to ensure that it is constructed in an orderly and deliberate manner that is consistent with the standard-of-care set forth in the contract documents that is viewed by industry as an effort that is consistent with best-practices standards while on schedule and looking ahead
  • Verifying that all work is installed in a workmanlike manner
  • Obtaining all inspections and ensuring that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented, including red line drawings
  • Meeting with onsite representatives on a regular basis to discuss the status of projects, to proactively identify and resolve problems and to assure that the project manager is kept knowledgeable about the status of the work
  • Managing changes in project scope
  • Managing the punch list to assure timely completion
  • Providing timely and cordial interaction with the team, such as accounting, HR, ICS, etc.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Superintendent in the construction industry
  • Ability to work both independently or in a team environment
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction, materials and methods.
  • Strong Leadership, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Possesses strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex material in a useful and understandable fashion to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated with the ability lead and assume responsibility.
  • Proficient in reading construction documents, understanding of the design, construction, permit, bidding processes.
  • This position is based in the Great Lakes region and requires extensive travel regionally
