MARKETING COORDINATOR
Position Title: Marketing Coordinator
Reports to: Development Director
FLSA Status: Exempt, full-time
Position Available Feb 1, 2023
Salary Range $35,000 - $40,000 based on experience
Summary
Under the direction of the Development Director, the Marketing Coordinator at High Point Village, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is the voice of the organization using social media, publications, websites, and marketing materials to inform, educate, and engage individuals with special needs, their families, and our community. The Marketing Coordinator is solely responsible for the creation and implementation of all social media and marketing campaigns and will assist each department in reaching their strategic goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with all departments on marketing and awareness campaigns to promote growth and inform current Villagers and their families
- Creates public awareness campaigns to promote High Point Village and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Produces email blasts to communicate upcoming events, program updates and other important matters to parents, family members and caretakers
- Creates and implements a comprehensive social media plan for Facebook and Instagram
- Documents Villager activities for social media (at High Point and out in the community).
- Coordinates and produces content associated with a bi-annual newsletter
- Assists with design of appeal letters that are compelling, share the stories of High Point Village, and can be used for soliciting sponsorships and donations
- Creates digital and print marketing materials (flyers, brochures, social media posts, website graphics, event promotional items, and other marketing materials as needed)
- Manages all aspects of Wordpress website
- Assists with planning and facilitating all fundraisers and special events
- Creates event webpages that work seamlessly with event management software as well as donor management software
- Responds to online inquiries from the website and social media channels
- Manage and oversee all printing and mailings
- Help to cultivate interviews and relationships with local media
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Google calendar and drive, Wordpress,
Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Excellent and proven organizational, planning, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and receive feedback in a constructive way.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in communications, marketing, or nonprofit work.
- Experience in using donor management software and event management software.
- Experience developing and executing social media strategy.
- Demonstrates a heart for our Villagers and mission.

Initiative in fulfilling the goals of the organization:
From interactions with management, staff, and volunteers, the Communications and Marketing Coordinator recognizes and brings to the attention of the Development Director issues that affect the organization, and implements plans to reach organizational goals as determined by the Executive Director. The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will display initiative in developing action plans and resolving problems as they occur, in consultation with the Development Director and/or other staff members.
Communication:
Communicates effectively with multiple audiences using a variety of formats. Examples include: written communications that clearly outline the situation and action items; verbal presentations and briefings to the program staff, the Development Director and other parties.
Dependability:
Seeks increased responsibility while remaining conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable with respect to achieving the organization's goals, and the needs of the staff and volunteers at High Point Village. This includes being available and responsive to issues and concerns as they arise.
