VACANCY: Preschool Teacher Assistant - Part Time

VACANCY DESCRIPTION: Mount Horeb Christian School (MHCS) is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to serve our Mount Horeb Campus for the 2022-23 school year. The ideal candidate will prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.
High Point Christian School was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area. In 2020 we welcomed students to our newest campus housed in the facilities of New Hope Evangelical Free Church to serve the town of Mount Horeb and the surrounding rural community. Our schools offers safe, caring and Christ-centered environments for grades K-8, as well as 3K and 4K preschool programs at a separate location. HPCS is one of four campuses which makes up Impact Christian Schools. In the upcoming 2022-23 school year our Mount Horeb campus will begin operating under their new name: Mount Horeb Christian School!
Mount Horeb just is fifteen minutes west of Madison, WI, and holds a world of small-town charm and hospitality that is present in each part of their community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Shows evidence of Christian maturity and a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education
- Experience and/or willing to work with preschool aged students
- High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and/or university with credits in education
- Experience working with children preferably within a school setting
- First aid/basic medical training
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- $15.00 per hour
- Ten (10) month work schedule (mid August-early June); Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM-12:00 PM
- Tuition discount available for dependent children of employees
- Funding available for continuing education
POSITION START DATE: October 31, 2022
