High Country Behavioral Health is Hiring a Revenue Cycle Specialist - A/R Near Idaho Falls, ID

Position Location

Remote position. Must be a resident of Idaho or Wyoming.

Our team of licensed professionals are devoted to the application of therapeutic methods that enhance the lives and well-being of our clientele through counseling, case management, medication management and crisis services.

Position Overview

High Country Behavioral Health is integrating its behavioral health services with primary care to provide a team-based approach to deliver individuals with a better overall health outcome. We are in search of an experienced, ambitious revenue cycle specialist looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity. This position will help HCBH to establish a thriving integrated practice and oversee all revenue cycle aspects in multiple locations throughout Idaho and Wyoming.

Job Responsibilities

· Performs extensive follow-up to investigate and resolve payment denial trends.

· Assists with the development and implementation of strategies and procedures that will reduce denials, maximize reimbursements and promote faster payment.

· Utilizes the practice management system to sort, filter, summarize and identify various account receivable trends to solicit payments from insurance companies and patients.

· Prepares letters of appeal to insurance carriers for claims that were not paid or paid at the incorrect rate.

· Resolves claim edits within the practice management billing system to ensure successful claim submission.

· Assists in establishing and renewal for credentialing of service providers.

· Maintains up-to-date policies and procedures and knowledge related to managed care and third party payors.

· Reviews and submits refund and write-off requests. Approves and performs write-offs as requested and as necessary.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

· High School Diploma

· AAPC, CPC CPB, or CPB certification preferred. 

Experience

· Approximately 3-5 years of medical billing, specifically accounts receivable experience.

· Knowledge of third-party reimbursement.

· Knowledge of medical terminology. Prior experience working with an EMR system.

· Microsoft Excel and other reporting software to sort, filter, summarize and identify

· Prefer certifications as related to billing and coding.

· Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with multiple constituencies and exercise "people skills".

· Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.

· Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.

· Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion.

· Ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation and demeanor.

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner with all departmental faculty and staff, as well as other institutional representatives.

Work Environment

Incumbent of the position performs in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls. Tasks require variety of physical activities, not generally involving muscular strain, such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing and seeing. Rapid work speed required to perform keyboard operations. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking; guided and creative problem solving.
