POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller and will be responsible for a variety of accounting/finance related activities, which include but are not limited to, financial budgeting and planning, flux analysis, business tax analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and planning.
• Prepare monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis.
• Work closely with GL team in monthly close process and P&L analysis to ensure timeliness and accuracy of entries.
• Prepare monthly financial package for executives.
• Leverage financial systems to automate and scale current processes and reports.
• Work with sales/recruiting team to prepare monthly/quarterly commission reports.
• Manage daily cash and loan activities and analysis, including bank reconciliations.
• Manage pricing tool for existing/prospective clients.
• Complete weekly Gross Margin report for management team.
• Assist in tax related reporting and analysis, including completion of annual reports, researching and resolving tax issues, etc.
• Reconcile monthly benefits to employee deductions.
• Ad hoc analysis and process improvement.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Corporate Controller of VP of Finance.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• BA or BS degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 3-5 years of full cycle accounting/finance experience for a service company (staffing company experience preferred).
• Detailed understanding of the accounting cycle, with the ability to communicate its components clearly.
• Highest level of integrity and focus on details.
• Demonstrated success in fast paced, dynamic, opportunistic environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills; including pivot tables and V-lookups. Experience with financial software packages.
• Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively with senior-level staff and management
• Recent experience with a mid-range/large ERP system preferred; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit for 2 hours without standing, sit up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to engage fine motor skills such as typing and writing for up to 2 hours without a break, use fine motor skills for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to see and read computer screen, employment documents and correspondence.
