Compensation Minimum:$103,500 Compensation Maximum:$190,500 The Competitive Intelligence Manager is responsible for the research, development, distribution, and security of detailed competitive pricing metrics and product research in collaboration with, and in support of key business partner partners. Work is done in collaboration with our business partners in Product Management, Product Development, Distribution, and other divisions to identify our competitive advantages and disadvantages, drive product and distribution strategy, and share relevant competitor insights to help inform tactical business decisions. The work spans competitor actions, analysis of our in-force book, our quoting activity, and the active shoppers in the marketplace. This role establishes short-term and long-term strategies for competitive metrics with accountability to divisional and enterprise objectives. This position is highly visible and results oriented, working with senior leadership across a variety of departments. Primary Accountabilities Competitive Pricing Development and Analysis Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of all major competitor pricing practices and researches the impact of these changes in relation to our pricing practices. Manages processes and procedures around competitive information gathering and analysis, knowledge of industry tools and products, production and calculation of competitive metrics, and report development to support business decision making processes and outcomes. Manages database components related to competitor rate histories, competitor growth and profit results, and competitor pricing data. Oversees the accuracy, maintenance and updating of the competitive pricing metrics, tools and processes. Modeling efforts to include the research, analysis, and building of our competitor pricing related models and metrics. Management / Leadership of Assigned Operating Area Manages direct reports, workloads, systems, and special projects to achieve operational goals. Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, encouraging innovations, recognizing performance, and maintaining open communications. Develops staff by coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance reviews, and establishing developmental plans. Expert Resource Collaborates with key business partners to organize effective intelligence addressing our business needs. Represents the department and company for strategic projects related to competitive position. Develops and maintain relationships with peers within the enterprise, insurance industry, and professional organizations dedicated to insurance research. Acts as a technical resource to other divisions and operations as it relates to competitive pricing metrics, industry practices and innovations. Provides input and recommendations for strategic initiatives; allocating resources appropriately to support enterprise projects. This position is a hybrid role that involves working a minimum of 10 days per month in the office.
