Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Software Developer, (Remote - United States, Canada) within our ALI Americas group to work on our industry leading CADWorx product suite. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize and participate in various projects while working independently and operating with good communication and interpersonal skills. The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and documenting solutions based on requirements, including automated test coverage and verification of deployment into the production environment for new and existing applications. The Software Developer will apply proven problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to produce and support robust solutions based on business requirements of mission-critical information and software systems.

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications. Recognized as an advanced individual contributor and subject matter expert within the discipline. Participate in end-to-end development life cycle including requirements analysis and design through deployment and verification. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Break down architecture into epics and stories for implementation. Consult with stakeholders to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
• You will be working in a Scrum team environment with a talented group of professional software developers. Assignments require the use of independent judgment, and the application of programming/software principles, theories, concepts, and design patterns appropriate for each application.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 2-5 years of hands-on software development experience
• Programming experience in C , C#, .NET, MVVM, WPF
• Good working knowledge of Object Orientated Design/Programming and Data Structures
• Good knowledge and understanding of various design patterns and principles (SOLID etc.)
• Working knowledge of Database/Relational Data Design and querying language (SQL/LINQ/etc.)
• Experience with Visual Studio / Git or similar version control system
• Able to analyze the existing architecture and to build components on top of it.
• Documenting implementation designs and technical information used
• Familiarity with Scrum development process and working in a team environment.
• Must possess strong problem-solving abilities
• Must have a passion for learning new technologies, and a desire for personal growth, through self-study, formal classes, or on-the-job training
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be a team player, self-driven, and proactive
• Good knowledge of microservice, N-Tier, etc. architectures and both desktop and cloud deployment

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Knowledge of AutoCAD ObjectARX, AutoCAD.NET
• Knowledge of full-stack web application development including ReactJS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with REST API, WebAPIs, gRPC, OKTA, message queueing
• Familiarity with PowerShell, Typescript
• Experience with Dockers and Containers
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Build pipeline management, NuGet packages
