Role Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator, reports directly to the VP, People Operations and contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives. The HR Coordinator will support in providing an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce. Their main objective will be to coordinate, facilitate and provide excellent support to the HR team as it relates to all facets of human resources with a primary objective of ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the onboarding initiative of new employees and support the ongoing development of Cyderes’ orientation program.
  • Administer all onboarding and offboarding tasks; this includes both administrative data entry tasks into HRIS and background check systems as well as email communication and presentation of the onboarding PowerPoint.
  • Run criminal background checks on new hires.
  • Update and maintain documentation and records.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate benefits administration including enrollment, follow up, renewals, etc.
  • Provide support to the HR Department including maintaining files, sorting HR related mail, compiling new hire employment packages and separation agreements.
  • Work with the HR team to evaluate and review HR policy and practices to identify opportunities to improve or enhance processes.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries relating to HR policies and procedures; demonstrate good judgment by appropriately escalating issues.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of HR metrics.
  • Generate reports via HRIS; analyze and manipulate data

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management and working towards CHRP designation is preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in an HR role such as a Coordinator, Administrator, Intern, etc.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Resourceful and flexible with proven problem solving abilities.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality while ensuring a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Comfortable interacting with employees and various management levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • HRIS experience, an asset
