Heritage Health - Idaho is Hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst Near Coeur d'Alene, ID

Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will turn data into information and knowledge, understanding how that information/knowledge supports and enables key business processes and communicating those insights for maximum business impact. 

Requirements

Associates degree in business administration or related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Five years of healthcare operations and at least 2 years of experience with BI tools required. Required Healthcare Reimbursement, Healthcare Revenue Cycle, Healthcare Finance, or equivalent experience .Additional certifications a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

1. Experience building business intelligence frameworks and developing Power BI dashboards.

2. Ability to utilize both electronic dental and health records optimally.

3. Well versed in data quality and governance best practices in analytics development.

4. Well versed in healthcare coding and financial data.

5. Must be able to describe complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.

6. Proven track record of gathering business requirements and delivering robust analytic outputs efficiently.

7. Capable of and comfortable with working remotely.

8. Capable of and comfortable with traveling to client sites as needed.

9. Proficient utilizing Office 365, SharePoint and Power BI.

10. Must possess effective writing and communication skills for audiences of diverse business and technical backgrounds. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Communicates with subject matter experts of varied backgrounds to adequately assess business intelligence requirements and deliverability based on available data.

2. Cleans, transforms and blends large and disparate data sources.

3. Performs ad-hoc data discovery using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel.

4. Builds data visualizations using available data tools to accelerate information-to-action at scale (for example, describing the performance of KPI’s for leadership and helping revenue cycle operators on the front-line act towards process/performance improvement).

5. Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.

6. Heritage Health staff have an active role in our Patient Centered Medical Home model of care. This role is designated as part of the Heritage Health PCMH Care Team.

7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
