Henry Carlson Construction, a busy, stable and growing Construction Manager at Risk Firm is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to join its team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, can work with all types of people at various professional levels, and has a positive and professional attitude, appearance and demeanor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with project site security, safety procedures and ensure all processes are followed according to OSHA and company guidelines.
• Assist the project superintendent with best management practices and documentation of any changes.
• Participate in preconstruction and project start up activities.
• Assists Project Superintendent and Project Manager in verifying that all installations are done as required, materials and manpower is scheduled, ordered and arrival is on time so as not to impact the completion schedule.
• Assists Project Superintendent and Project Manager in familiarity and adherence to local codes and requirements.
• Assists Project Superintendent in the daily reporting and documentation of project activities and conversations as they pertain to the project

Preferred Qualifications

• Seeking a Bachelor or Associates degree in Construction Management 
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
• Manage difficult client/customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance and meets commitments.
• Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
• Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner and will meet all deadlines.
• Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
