General Statement of Duties
Plans and supervises general recreation programs or assists in the development and administration of a specialized recreation program on a County-wide basis; does related work as required.

Essential Duties
The employee must have strong knowledge of the philosophy and objectives of community recreation, specifically of recreation programming; exceptional leadership, supervisory and problem solving skills required; knowledge and hands on experience with children in a variety of settings. Must have the ability to work on own initiative without close supervision or guidance, good organizational skills; effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Assignment will report to the History, Heritage & Natural Resources section of Recreation.
  • Primary assignment will be at Meadow Farm & Virginia Randolph Museums.
  • Will support History based programming and events at multiple recreation locations.
  • May work weekends and some evenings for up to 29 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a bachelor's degree in recreation or a field directly related to the needs of the assigned position, and one (1) year of related work experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
