Overall responsibility for the Cash Application Specialist function within the RCM team. Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions.

Responsibilities

• Post payments (ACH, Lockbox, Credit Card) to client invoices timely and with accuracy
• Reconcile complicated payment postings
• Save appropriate documents in the designated folders daily and update logs accordingly
• Retrieve ACH payment remittance from payer websites
• Follow up on any unapplied payment application in a timely manner
• Assist Team Lead with Month-end close.

Qualifications

• Understanding of accounting concepts and procedures
• 1-2 years accounts receivable or general accounting experience
• Organization, prioritization and time management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Written and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Proficient in MS Excel required
• Close attention to detail and accuracy
• Backup person for other A/R Duties.
