About the Role:

The Procurement Manager will have responsibility for strategic and value-driven procurement activities in all aspects of procurement in the NASA region. The position will be based in Dallas and will report to the Logistics Manager Americas. This position will lead procurement to develop outsourced partners or suppliers to meet the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Purchase to pay process from end to end.
• Generate Purchase orders for sourcing of goods and services as required.
• Lead relevant procurement activities, from initiation to implementation and ongoing contract management to achieve successful commercial outcomes.
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
• Work with the Global team to develop, implement and maintain procurement policy and procedures, including delivering procurement training to the organization.
• Design and implement a procurement reporting framework for management review of procurement activities, spending, and benefits realization.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to set ambitious goals that help move the organization forward so there is a greater emphasis on strategic procurement, as opposed to tactical procurement.
• Establishing mechanisms to evaluate performance and mentoring staff for overall performance and effectiveness in specific situations.
• Advocating the value of procurement by aligning with internal customers and ensuring that their requirements are met

• Review, design and implement annual strategic purchasing plans

Required Skills and Experience:

• BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field as a manager
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
• Demonstrated understanding of contracts and experience negotiating complex agreements with suppliers of critical importance to the business
• Demonstrated interest and success in developing others' careers
• Proven experience leading cost savings initiatives and communicating cost savings achievements
• Proven history of autonomously managed travel, ability to work in challenging conditions
• Be able to work flexible hours due to the majority of clients are based internationally. Some work out of regular work hours may be expected

Special Requirements:

This position works primarily in an office setting during regular business hours; however, overtime may be required at times as well as some travel for trade shows and events
