Description

Heidtman Steel Products, Inc. is searching for an Inside Sales Rep (ISR) Supervisor for our Central Region. The ISR Supervisor will oversee a team of six between two different locations – Butler, IN & East Chicago, IN. 

The ISR Supervisor will be tasked to manage, lead, and train the Inside Sales Team as a unit capable of providing world class service to Heidtman Steels’ customers. This is accomplished by implementing the Inside Sales strategy provided by the General Manager, following and training to all Inside Sales SOP’s and work instructions, and measuring the effectiveness and quality of Inside Sales work through metrics established by the General Manager. 

Further responsibilities include: 

• Set up accounts to be managed efficiently, selecting ISR, determining customer needs, implementing sales order and forecast method, and understanding pricing and margin expectations with OSR
• Coordinate with other departments (Traffic, Production, and Plant) on day-to-day critical on-time delivery needs 
• Assist ISR’s with issues critical to customer needs and on-time delivery
• Monitor and enforce Inside Sales SOP’s and SWI’s
• Enforce policies outlined in HSP Employee handbook
• Monitor ISR customer service performance and implement action plans to improve performance as needed
• Address customer concerns brought directly from customer or OSR 
• Communicate areas of customer concern to General Manager – Inside Sales 
• Lead daily Inside Sales on-time delivery huddles to document ISR assistance needs and monitor/execute expedite requests
• Monitor ISR KPI’s and implement action plans to improve performance as needed
• Participate in IATF audits
• Maintain employee timecards, PTO, etc. 

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in Inside Sales (required); within the steel processing industry (preferred)
• Intermediate Metallurgy knowledge, including understanding of the steel making process, steel grades, and chemical and physical properties.
• Excellent organization skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, have good listening skills, and be able to effectively communicate with employees and customers at all levels in the organization.
• Must be computer literate and be fast and accurate in data entry and proficient in Excel.
• Must be able to work in fast paced stressful environment, have the ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects, work independently, have strong attention to detail, and great follow up skills.
