Hegira Health, Inc. is Hiring a Remote Credentialing Specialist

Hegira Health is one of southeast Michigan’s largest and most comprehensive non-profit behavioral health treatment agencies with locations in the western and downriver communities of Wayne County. We provide a broad array of mental health and substance abuse treatment and prevention services to individuals of all ages.

The Credentialing Specialist is a full time positon based out of our Livonia location.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of hospital, group practice or managed care credentialing experience
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and internet resources

RESPONSIBIITIES (Summary of):

  • Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers via agency/site rosters.
  • Compiles and maintains therapist credentialing grid for Pre-Admission department.
  • Completes provider and facility credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows up as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing providers.
  • Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system.
  • Tracks license, certification, and professional liability expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
  • Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies and other entities.
  • Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information.
