KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partnering closely with Hedgeye’s marketing team, you will serve as the lead for all analytics efforts designed to advance our portfolio/campaign monitoring, reporting, emergent trend detection, and growth hacking capabilities
• Independently lead the firm in evaluating, selecting, implementing, and training users on a self-service dashboarding solution
• Assist Hedgeye’s product group in providing timely, high-quality research with quantitative analyses that enhance analysts’ financial models and with automations to accelerate our speed to market
• Develop complex, dynamic SQL queries for production use
• Collaborate closely with our Operations team on database design, data pipelines, and infrastructure selection to support internal and external analytics applications
• Work closely with business partners and management to define requirements and build/deploy remarkable, interactive dashboards and reports that provide users with real-time insights and the power to drill down, through, up and around their data
• Design, pitch, and win buy-in for testing new marketing ideas and experimental interventions in our customer lifecycle management operations; partner with the business to run these experiments; present findings to stakeholders; and deploy the successes at scale in our production processes

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Ability to work independently; teach yourself new technologies, figure things out on your own, and to know when to ask for help
• Strong proficiency with SQL (any flavor), RDBMS, relational database design, query writing for production applications, ETL pipelines, and stored procedures
• Familiarity with at least one SQL IDE for query development
• Experience working with disparate data sources lacking documentation and the ability to determine data design/generation process through inspection, reasoning, and testing
• Experience developing BI dashboards to monitor business KPIs with at least one modern dashboarding solution (Google Data Studio, Looker, Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, etc.)

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other STEM program; or equivalent informal education (e.g. through self-study, independent projects, work experience)
• 0-3 years’ work experience in a related role
• Familiarity with at least one general purpose programming language (R or python preferred) a plus
• Exposure to digital marketing analytics and Salesforce/Pardot platforms is a plus
