Responsibilities

Job Summary: Manage projects related to tactical and strategic changes in Talent DevelopmentEssential Functions / Process Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)- Identifies, develops, implements, and evaluates technical skills standards, tools, solutions and processes for store operation Partners- Partners with department subject matter experts to develop and maintain department technical and job skills curricula as part of the Partner Learning and Development strategy- Assumes overall project management responsibility for all phases of assigned projects- Coordinates and supports various training delivery methodologies- Reports to Sr. Director of HR at Central and assists in any special project - Team leader developing, mentoring and coaching a team of 11

- Provides analysis and recommendations on new and existing Partner Learning and Development opportunities- Establishes strong working relationships with business leaders, operations, and merchant leadership to ensure Partner development activities are aligned with business tactics and strategy- Maintains control over quality, cost and scheduleEducation and Experience preferred - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education , Human Resources or related field or comparable experience- 3-5 yrs experience in project management and / or Store Leadership experience- 1-2 yrs experience in training and development a plus- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Partner Learning and Development programs Key Competencies preferred - A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience- 3 years of experience in project management- 1 years of experience in training and development a plus- Experience in Store Leadership (preferred)Key Competencies preferred - Proficiency in MS Office and H-E-B systems and programs- Advanced interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills- Advanced verbal / written communication and presentation skills- Strong skills in project management and effective execution of plans - Strong leadership, delegation, and follow-up skills- Strong decision-making skills- Ability to work independently- Ability to identify impact of tactical or strategic solutions across business areas and develop and apply solutions within one department or across multiple departmentsPhysical and Other Requirements - Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment- Travel by car or plane with overnight stays- Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more- Work extended hours; sit for extended periods10-2011
