HEARTSHARE HUMAN SERVICES OF NEW YORK is Hiring a Maintenance Worker Near Richmond Hill, NY
Maintains a clean environment, including but not limited to cleaning of the classrooms, offices, bathrooms, lunchroom, elevators, lint traps on dryer, fingerprints on all doors, and disposal of garbage. Sweeps and mops floors daily or as scheduled. Fills sink reservoirs daily in classrooms requiring it. Completes weekly cleaning of all appliances. Adheres to all CDC & DOH protocols related to COVID-19. Conducts electro-static spraying of all classrooms, offices and restrooms daily. Provides preventative maintenance of physical facility, including but not limited to changing of light bulbs, checking fire exit lights regularly, replacing floor and ceiling tiles, and reporting any appliance breakdowns and hazardous situations.
Effectively communicates with management on maintenance issues, including but not limited to the semi-annual floor stripping and waxing in schools requiring the service.
Informs supervisor of needed supplies to be ordered. Provides daily supplies as needed, such as bathroom tissue, paper towels, hand soap and gloves. Provides weekly supplies to group rooms. Ensures all supplies are stored safely and securely.
High school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years' experience as a facilities management worker
