We are currently seeking a Director of Social Services/Admissions for our 40-bed Skilled Nursing Center. This unit offers short term rehabilitation as well as long term care. Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of the Director of Social Services/Admissions is to assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of our facility’s Social Services & Admissions Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by Administrator, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.
Essential Job Functions
Preferred Qualifications
· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social work or degree in a human-services related major, including sociology, gerontology, or psychology.
· One year in a healthcare setting where the individual is working as a supervised social worker who works directly with individual.
