The Assistant Teacher has the overall responsibility to assist the Lead Teacher by providing support. The assistant must be able to take over the responsibilities of the lead teacher when he or she is absent, as well as maintain an overall knowledge of all the classroom routines.
Some essential functions of the Assistant Toddler Teacher are…
-Partner with the Lead Teacher implementing daily lessons
-Participate in Parent Teacher conferences alongside the Lead Teacher
-Complete anecdotal note taking for each child
-Participate in snack and meal service Family Style Dining
-Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
-Provide 1:1 attention with children as needed
-Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
-Partner with Lead Teacher in preparing lesson plans
-Participates in outdoor activities
-Supervise and ensure safety and well-being of the children and all times
-Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches
-Share feedback and suggestions with Lead Teacher as needed
-Attend Heartfelt Impressions company/school meetings
-Must be able to provide a loving, caring, and nurturing teaching approach/relationship with the children
-Must be able to be patient and incorporate multitasking into the daily routine
-Physically able to lift 15 pounds
