HealthPRO Pediatrics, partners with Autism Therapeutic Specialist, is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in Fayetteville, NC!
- Medical Billing Specialist position available to begin ASAP
- Fayetteville, NC
- Full time position / 40 hours weekly
- M-F 8am - 5pm
- Full benefits provided (medical, dental, paid time off)
Successful candidates are required to maintain the experience and education outlined above. Candidates are also required pass a state, county, federal background checks, SSN verification and sex offender check.

Responsibilities
- Tracking and maintaining patient referrals and authorizations
- Maintaining consistent communication with patients and insurance companies
- Screening phone calls and transferring to appropriate department
- Submitting claims to insurance companies electronically
- Assists in preparing, reviewing and sending patient statements
- Sends and receives mail and packages
- Sorting and disseminating supplies upon request to outside clinics
- Types and proofreads a variety of documentation
- Files, copies, and performs other related clerical and administrative duties and other various tasks as assigned
- Assists in general office clean up and maintenance
- Assist with compiling various information for internal and external audit requests
- Seeks out and anticipates areas by which to provide assistance
- Works within a team to provide the highest level of customer service
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role is required
- Experience in billing, claims, referrals, and authorizations preferred
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter/ Able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
