Backed by Bain Capital, we are the fastest growing ASC software company and serve over 1,100 surgery centers, but we’re just getting started and have plans to 10X the value we offer. However, our big ambitions are only as strong as the team behind them, which is why we’re looking to build our team with the best.

What we’re looking for:

A talented and driven UX Researcher to join our dynamic team. As a UX Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the user experience of our healthcare software solutions. You will conduct user research, gather insights, and provide valuable recommendations to inform product design decisions.

You are curious, idealistic, pragmatic, persuasive, open-minded, and a fast learner. You possess demonstrated experience in studying target users to collect and analyze data that helps inform the product design process. As a UX Researcher, you will work closely with the broader Design, Product and Engineering teams, to understand our users and their problems. You’ll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products while leveling up our processes in an environment that values good user research. We're a collaborative group, guided by a highly iterative user-centered design process. This is an exciting time at the company, where research and design play a key role in transforming our product lines.

Responsibilities:

This includes qualitative and quantitative methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis. Be open to leveling up your research skills by trying new research methods and practices.

  • Generate actionable insights: Analyze research findings to extract meaningful insights and translate them into actionable recommendations for product improvements and enhancements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to integrate user-centered design principles into the product development process. Collaborate on the creation of user personas, user flows, and wireframes.

  • Conduct competitive analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our product offerings.

  • Usability testing: Plan and execute usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness and usability of our software solutions. Seek out and identify core knowledge gaps about our users and their relationship with our products. Identify areas for improvement and work with the team to implement changes.

  • Communicate research findings: Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner through reports, presentations, and visualizations. Translate complex research results into plain language for everyone in the company to easily digest. Confidently discuss with various company stakeholders about opportunities and trade-offs regarding translating user research to action items.

  • Drive user-centric design: Advocate for user-centered design principles and help foster a culture of empathy and user-centric thinking within the organization. Make effective design recommendations based on design principles and best practices.

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in planning, conducting, and sharing user research both quantitatively and qualitatively using standard tools such as user journeys, design thinking, user personas and others.

  • Show us you have shaped the user experience of a product successfully before.

  • Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).

  • Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.

  • You are adaptable and can work with people with various backgrounds (from clinicians to business analysts to developers) and communication styles.

  • You communicate your work clearly and lead research conversations.

  • You have a user-focused design mentality and are constantly looking to sharpen your instincts through user feedback and insight.
