Open Position: Product Manager, Data

What we’re looking for:

HST Pathways is creating a new team focused on building tools and services to support the experimentation and data outcomes program for our customers and B2B clients we serve. 

We are looking for a Product Manager of Data who will be responsible for working with a talented data team including analytics, backend, and frontend engineers, etc. to develop the tools and services needed to power our Outcomes platform. This includes an experimentation platform to help scale HST’s A/B testing process while developing the tools, services, and the infrastructure required to support our new data product(s) to drive learnings and innovation across our platform. This individual will need to develop predictive modeling and business case development for new and existing products. They will be responsible for identifying ways to improve the performance of our current data product portfolio and support the development of new product offers, product roadmap, and product performance reporting process. They will enable data-driven decision making and in-time health monitoring of HST Pathway’s customer-facing products by working with Product leadership to define key product and feature-specific metrics. The individual will also work closely with the executive leadership team across functions, help drive decisions, and influence our overall product strategy through data. 

In summary, this leader would be responsible for supporting and growing the data platform team by building the tools and services to help unlock the potential of our dataset and scale our analytics capabilities to support both ASC customers and our enterprise clients. 

Responsibilities:

• Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. 
• Lead product reporting teams by enabling the design and end-to-end delivery of automated reporting and dashboards for a variety of Product-focused business solutions. 
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal teams and external partners. 
• Responsible for the definition and delivery of Product usage reporting including metrics definition, data visualizations, and executive leadership team requirements. 
• Assist the Senior Product Manager and the VP of Product with project intake, roadmap, staffing plans, and budget. 
• Oversee and provide leadership in data design, the creation of automated, customer-readable reports using BI tools, such as Tableau or Power BI and standard data tools, such as Excel. 
• Evaluate reporting tools and data structures (in existing and potential implementations) for best fit to specific business needs. 
• Partner with ASC Information Technology and Business Intelligence organizations to obtain and ingest new reference data sources required for Product usage reports. 
• Work with internal and external Design teams to ensure reports and dashboards are usable, elegant, and industry leading. 
• Work with the technical and leadership team to ensure all individual projects are appropriately supported and provided to the market in consistent iterations. 
• Motivate resources through communication and awareness of project needs and business impacts. 
• Develop an effective front line leadership team and assists them with developing their direct reports to drive a high-performance culture. 

Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience in analytics roles and experience within a data platform/data analysis environment.
• 7 years of leadership experience with expertise in reporting and analysis
• 3 years supporting product or marketing (ideally experience with both) 
• 3 years B2B SaaS technology experience is preferred
• Experience with driving analytics and research for a new or rapidly scaling business or product line preferred 
• Expert skills with SQL 
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies 
• Strong understanding of healthcare, particularly in the ASC space 
• Experience with business intelligence solutions (i.e., Looker, Tableau, etc.) and big data platforms (i.e., AWS, Snowflake, Spark, Google Cloud etc.).
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of an organization to aid in decision-making 
• Previous success in management of peer groups, to achieve team objectives 
• Proven track record for strong problem resolution techniques, ability to find solutions 
• Strong presentation tool skills including, but not limited to MS Excel and PowerPoint 
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, for internal and external customers is a must 

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Business or other related fields or equivalent work experience 
• Relevant Master's degree preferred, but not required
