This position is for a qualified and experienced maintenance Engineer (5 years industrial maintenance experience) for a commercial laundry operation. Required to perform maintenance on industrial equipment and assist a team of engineers as needed. Facility operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• • Maintain laundry machines and equipment, including: Washers, Ironers, Dryers, Belts, Feeders and Folders
  • Pipe fitting, boiler maintenance, welding, electrical, changing parts, and lubricating machinery
  • Remove jammed linen from machinery
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment
  • Repair and maintenance of building furniture and fixtures
  • Proactively identify maintenance issues
  • Guide and train junior staff on performing maintenance
  • Must be able to work safely and have clear understanding of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements
  • Use personal protective equipment when required and/or necessary
  • Observe surroundings and practice safety guidelines
  • Operate on machines and equipment correctly and safely with assistance
  • Safely operate a forklift / manlift and always wear proper safety equipment/harness
  • Use the proper tools for the job and complying with company practices
  • Know the proper reporting of an accident or emergency

  KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Boilers License 2nd Class B - Required
  • Ability to read, write and understand English to read machinery controls, load types, temperatures, and time
  • Knowledge of standard OSHA requirements and regulations with regards to a production facility
  • Orders
  • Ability to observe safety guidelines and wear the proper safety equipment
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and email
  • Maintenance skills on electrical, plumbing and large machinery

  This is a warehouse environment. On occasion, there may be extreme temperatures and loud noises.
