HEALTH FORCE is Hiring a Medical Administrative Assistant Near Buffalo, NY

Job description

Responsibilities:

Creates new medical records and retrieves existing medical records by gathering appropriate record folders and contents; assigning and recording new record numbers; verifying existing record numbers; inputting and recording locations in the computer; delivering records. Maintains the security and confidently of active and closed files including patient, personal and billing records.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with all Departments within the agency
  • Receptionist/Clerical duties as assigned
  • Maintain an Electronic Visit Verification
  • Initiates the medical record by creating and processing the client care record folder.
  • Maintains record availability by processing charts into the department; using chart mark-off procedures; facilitating chart location activities.
  • Retrieves medical records by following chart-out procedures.
  • Delivers charts to assigned areas by following established routing procedures.
  • Keeps health care providers informed by communicating availability or unavailability of the record.
  • Maintains quality results by following Company standards.
  • Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains client confidence by keeping client records information confidential.
  • Serves and protects the Company by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Enhances medical records and Companies reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Maintains all records in an orderly manner to facilitate easy access of documents for medical records clerk and others.
  • Maintains a consistent process for organizing, filing and identification of files.
  • Tracks physician orders.
  • Reviews documents to ensure complete and accurate completion. Follows up with staff to have identified variances corrected.

  • High school graduate or equivalency.
  • Two (2) years experience office
