Overview

Scope of Responsibilities: System Administrator will protect our critical information, systems, and assets. Build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. System Administrator will also assist with support operations including building a library of technical documentation as well as assisting with development of a simple and effective support system for our end users.

Job Summary:

System Administrator will maintain IT operations including operating systems, databases, security tools, application servers, email, laptops, desktops, terminals, scanners and other pharmacy hardware and software. This role will play a critical role in establishing, maintaining and monitoring all aspects of IT security. System Administrator will also play an important role in designing, developing and implementing cloud-based SaaS, IaaS and PaaS technologies.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
  • Monitor IT system health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
  • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
  • Interact with support, and other teams, to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
  • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems including backups, security, monitoring, etc.)
  • Create and maintain online resource (knowledgebase) for users and IT Staff on various software and hardware platforms utilized by HealthDirect and KPH.
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree or comparable work experience
